Irma
Irma came to Jericho in December of 2022. She comes from a region of Honduras where young girls are expected to clean their home and care for their siblings. Getting an education is not a priority due to extreme poverty. Jericho school is now giving Irma a great bilingual education but, she whispered to me, that she doesn’t really like English! Her favorite activity is cooking and she makes great tortillas! Irma’s new favorite food is cake!
